South Cheshire Model Engineering Society is always keen to welcome new members with an active interest in all aspects of model engineering, from Gauge 1 through to 5 inch railways, but also stationary engines and traction engines. We are currently planning to build a garden railway too.
There is usually someone on site most Tuesdays between 10.00am and 15.30pm. We also open for public rides on various days throughout the year whereby you can help run the railway or bring your own engine to run.
Membership is a lot more than just maintaining and operating the railway, it has a great social aspect where you’ll get to meet plenty of interesting and fascinating people. You can also be trained to drive our electric and steam locomotives.
